2. Why We Use Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep Miri Styles running, remember your preferences (such as your cookie consent choice and age-gate confirmation), and understand how visitors use our games so we can improve them. We do not use cookies to identify you personally or to target advertising at you based on your individual browsing history.

4. Lawful Basis (UK GDPR + PECR)
Under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), we require your opt-in consent before setting any non-essential cookie. Strictly necessary cookies (age gate, consent record) are set under our legitimate interests to operate the site securely and to record your preferences. All other categories — performance, functional, and advertising — are set only after you click "Accept all" on our cookie banner. You may withdraw consent at any time by following the instructions in sections 5 and 6 below. Our data protection practices are supervised by the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) in the United Kingdom.
5. How to Manage Your Cookies on Miri Styles
When you first visit Miri Styles, a cookie banner gives you the choice of "Accept all" or "Essential only". Your choice is stored in localStorage.__cc_v1. To change your choice later, you can clear that key using your browser's developer tools (Application → Local Storage → styling-by-miri.com) or use the browser cookie management links in section 6 below. Clearing your cookies and local storage will also reset your Style Coin balance, since that is stored in memory for the current session only.

7. Third-Party Cookies and Services
The following third parties may set cookies or access data when you use Miri Styles with consent:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — provides hosting, DDoS protection, and privacy-respecting Web Analytics. Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics and Google Ads conversion tracking are loaded only when you consent to analytics/advertising cookies. Google Privacy Policy.
- Microsoft Corporation — Microsoft Advertising (UET tag) may be loaded when you consent and arrive via a Microsoft Ads campaign. Microsoft Privacy Statement.
8. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
We honour the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends a GPC header when you visit Miri Styles, we treat it as a withdrawal of consent for analytics and advertising cookies — only strictly necessary cookies will be set. We do not currently take action on the older Do Not Track (DNT) header, as it has no standardised meaning, but GPC is supported.
